Reporting to            : Product Engineering Head

Position Description            

The Project Trainee is responsible for developing specific business / consumer apps on smartphones / mobile devices / tablets etc.

Responsibilities    

• Prepare design documentation in line with project requirements
• Design the required apps user interface and other technical components
• Do design and development for required apps using cross platform open source tools and deliver (build & package) corresponding to the OS e.g. iOS, Android OS, Blackberry, Windows 7 mobile etc
• Write .NET web services for the apps
• Do testing of the apps and also some field trials.
• Finish complete app development and upload app onto respective marketplace
• Prepare and submit project report on suitability of the apps for targeted customer segment

Minimum Qualifications and Experience                                    

Student presently pursuing  3rd / 4th year of undergraduate studies in any Engineering discipline (preferably Computer Science) with a desire to build mobile / device apps for the ‘connected’ cloud

Skills

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of C++ and Java Programming
• Software coding using .NET, C# for webservice development
• HTML5, CSS, JavaScript
• Knowledge in any one of the following
  • Appcelerator
  • PhoneGap
  • jQuery Mobile
  • Adobe AIR

Behavioural Skills

• Creativity: Thinking out of the box, ability to come up with novel ideas and solutions
• Communication – Ability to articulate clearly in both verbal and written forms; understands others accurately; using listening and questioning to clarify. Customize communication according to audience.

• Base location : Chennai

Position Description  
The Project Trainee is responsible for developing Proof of Concept applications using graph dabtabases like neo4J.

Responsibilities 

• Design the required application user interface and other technical components
• Do design and development for required apps using graph db concepts specifically with neo4J
• Write .NET / PHP web services for the apps
• Do testing of the apps and also some field trials.
• Prepare and submit project report on the POCs done

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Student presently pursuing  3rd / 4th year of undergraduate studies in any Engineering discipline (preferably Computer Science) with a desire to do try Proof-of-Concept apps in the latest graph database technologies that have applications in BIG Data, Predictive Analytics etc
